What Are Plus Size Thobes?
Plus size thobes are thobes made for men who wear XL and above, usually from 2XL up to 8XL. A good plus size thobe for men is not just a bigger version of a small size. It is cut on its own pattern, with more room across the chest, shoulders and stomach, the right sleeve length and a hem that reaches the ankle, so it fits comfortably and hangs straight. At Men Thobes USA, every plus size thobe is stitched in our own workshop, either to our US size chart or made to measure from your chest, shoulder and length measurements.
Why Plus Size Men Struggle to Find Thobes That Fit
If you wear a big size, shopping for a thobe in the US can be frustrating. Here is what most men tell us before they find us:
- Sizes stop at 3XL. Most stores simply don't stock 5XL, 6XL or bigger.
- "Big" just means stretched. Many big thobes are small patterns made wider, so they look like a sack.

Bespoke Plus Size Thobes: Send 3 Measurements, Get a Perfect Fit
This is where we are different. Instead of guessing your size, you send us three measurements and we cut your thobe around your body. No store visit, no tailor and no returns because of a bad fit.

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Keep it level and snug, not tight.

Measure across your back, from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other.

Length
Measure from the top of your shoulder, next to the collar, down to where you want the thobe to end, usually the ankle.

Yes. We use a US pattern size chart for all our plus size thobes, covering chest, shoulder and length for every size from XL to 8XL.
What measurements do I need for a bespoke plus size thobe?
Just three: your chest, your shoulders and the length you want. Send them to us on WhatsApp and we will cut your thobe to fit.
How do I measure my chest, shoulders and length?
Chest: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Shoulders: measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other. Length: measure from the top of your shoulder, next to the collar, down to where you want the thobe to end.
What if I am between sizes?
Send us your three measurements instead of picking a size. We will make your thobe to those numbers, so you never have to choose between too tight and too loose.

No. Our plus size thobes are made with the same fabric, stitching and care as every other size, with no extra charge for bigger sizes.
